Our ESRs Panagiotis G. Georgiou (ESR 3), and Ashfaq Ahmad (ESR 8) from the Gibson group at the University of Warwick co-authored a paper published in ACS Macro Letters on the detection of SARS-CoV‑2 spike protein with polymer-stabilized glycosylated gold nanorods.
In collaboration with the R&D unit of the University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire, the authors show how rod-shaped glyconanoparticles can target the SARS-COV-2 spike protein and allow detection in liquid samples.
