Daniela and Patricia defended their PhD theses!

We are pleased to announce that Daniela Tomasino (RCSI) and Patricia Perez Schmidt (CNR-SCITEC) successfully passed their viva this month. On behalf of the entire NanoCarb consortium, we would like to congratulate our two ESRs on their great success and wish them only the best for the future!

New paper on the microfluidics production of glycan-functionalized gold nanoparticles

Milan-based ESRs Patricia Perez Schmidt (CNR-SCITEC) and Ruth Mateu Ferrando (University of Milan) co-authored a paper in Angewandte Chemistry proposing a robust, fast and green synthetic route to produce ultrasmall glyco gold nanoparticles by an innovative photo-induced microfluidic approach. The publication is available Open Access on the journal’s website.
