Gizem Erol (ESR 13) from the Mario Negri Institute will participate in the annual meeting of the Milan Center for Neuroscience (NeuroMI), to be held online on Friday 18 December 2020 in conjunction with the Annual Meeting of the Ph.D. Program in Neuroscience.
The event will cover six research areas, namely Biotechnologies and Nanomedicine, Clinical Neuroscience, Cognitive and Behavioral Neuroscience, Computational and Systems Neuroscience, Molecular and Cellular Neuroscience, and Neuroimaging and Methodological Research.
In the Ph.D. Program section, Gizem will present her work on the development of glycan-coated nanoparticles acting as inhibitors of specific lectins, as a new neuroprotective therapeutic strategy for brain injury caused by ischemia.
