Two NanoCarb ESRs involved in the development of a diagnostic tool against SARS-COV-2

The Gibson group at the University of Warwick (incl. the NanoCarb ESRs Ashfaq Ahmad and Panagiotis G. Georgiou) just published their work on the detection of SARS-COV-2 using sugars instead of antibodies.

This publication results from a collaboration with the platform company Iceni Diagnostics Ltd. and the University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust, and shows how glycans can be used to detect SARS-COV-2 in a flow-through device.
